Membranes
CGMA markets a complete line of synthetic waterproofing solutions as exclusive as your project. Opting for our processes is the choice of innovative and eco-responsible investors and manufacturers in order to deliver best in class products and services. Our membranes do not contain any toxic or hazardous ingredients.
TPO’s acceptance by the commercial roofing marketplace is really no mystery. Building owners, architects and contractors have already and objectively analysed all benefits our TPO has to offer.
Our synthetic roofing processes meet the most demanding technical requirements, in line with current ecological concerns. TPO (Thermoplastic Poly Olefin) or FPO (Flexible Poly Olefin) is considered to be the “new generation” of synthetic membranes, incorporating the advantages of EPDM and PVC-P, while annihilating their recognized defects. The concept of the Polypropylene (PP) – Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) blend is proven; the first applications of this type of membrane dates back to the 80’s.
CGMA’s unique latest-generation flexible polyolefin membranes represent the fastest growing segment of the market and are increasingly replacing modified bitumen membranes, elastomers (EPDM) and plastomers (PVC-P).
A strategic choice of the system put in place over others can generate additional benefits for the planet as well as investors. Your decision will make the difference between a “standard” building and an exemplary building in terms of sustainability and environmental impact. Each manufacturer has its own recipe with specific ingredients and additives that make each brand a totally different product. One of the most important differences is the type of polymer used for manufacturing the product.
CGMA is committed to offering a complete line solutions as exclusive as your project. Opting for our processes is now the choice of investors and innovative and eco-responsible manufacturers.
In Summary
Key Benefits
- High durability of more than 30 years, ecological and recyclable,
- Inert without plasticizers as for PVC-P which escapes under the effect of UV rays leading to premature ageing of the surface state and therefore a loss of mass over time,
- Plasticizer-free,
- Free of softeners and chlorine,
- No formation of corrosive or toxic gases during welding operations,
- Safe for health, water, soil, animals, and plants,
- Recyclable,
- Installation by mechanical fixing, bonding or loose laid ballasted,
- Compatible with all insulators on the market,
- Compatible with bitumen
- Very clean installation,
- Heat welding of the seams with hot air, without the need for additional accessories or adhesives, without flame, thus eliminating the risk of fire,
- Very high mechanical properties
- Very resistant and easily repaired by welding,
- Lightweight: giving you larger widths and reducing transport costs,
- Appreciable flexibility at low temperatures,
- Low maintenance: one inspection is enough,
- Aesthetics: choice of several colours including grey, lead grey or white,
- Economical: very competitive prices and without the need for many expensive accessories
- Resistant: easily repaired and compatible with bitumen,
- Effectless and inert, allowing for reuse without treatment rainwater,
- Less heat accumulation (UV reflection) and high reflectivity membranes improving the thermal emissivity of buildings and the efficiency of photovoltaic production,
- Ideal solution in combination with photovoltaic power plant without penetration or ballast,
- Ideal for green roofs (with FLL certification and in conformity with the EN 13948 standard allowing for intensive and extensive green systems).
